Stripped for Purification – Week 2 of Our Lenten Series
In this second week of our “Stripped” Lenten series, we’re exploring how God cleanses us at the deepest level—removing the spiritual “dirt” we can’t scrub off on our own. Drawing from Leviticus 14:8–9 (the leper’s cleansing) and 1 John 1:7–9 (walking in the light), we’ll see how physical rituals in the Old Testament foreshadow our ultimate purification through Christ’s sacrifice.
Key Points:
• Leprosy as a powerful picture of sin’s isolation and need for thorough cleansing
• Lent’s invitation to confront hidden or “root-level” issues, not just surface habits
• True change happens when we let Christ strip away shame and restore fellowship
Join us as we discover that Jesus’ blood cleanses us from all sin, freeing us to walk in the light—even if our lives feel messy or spiritually “unclean.” Invite a friend and come ready to reflect on what God might be calling you to let go of this Lent.
