Stripped in Christ’s Humiliation – Week 4 of Our Lenten Series
What keeps you from stepping out in faith or admitting you need help? Often, it’s the fear of humiliation. In Week 4 of our “Stripped” series, we’ll see how even the prophet Isaiah faced public shame (Isaiah 20), yet that’s nothing compared to the extreme humiliation Jesus endured for our salvation. We’ll explore Isaiah 53:7–8 – the Suffering Servant’s silent submission – and Matthew 27:27–31, where Christ was literally stripped, mocked, and crowned with thorns.
Why did the Son of God willingly suffer such indignity? How does this reveal God’s heart for us, and what does it teach us about humility, obedience, and love? Join us as we learn that fear of embarrassment shouldn’t keep us from following God’s call—especially when Jesus faced the ultimate humiliation to redeem us.
