The Christian Oath of Office - Psalm 101

Aug 24, 2025    Pastor Gerald

Today we’re opening God’s Word to Psalm 101—David’s “Oath of Office.” Just as a president begins their leadership with a solemn oath, King David declared his own oath to live and lead with integrity, purity, humility, and devotion to God.

But this isn’t just history—it’s a guide for us. As followers of Christ, we’re invited to take our own “oath” of the redeemed life:

• To begin with praise and gratitude

• To walk with integrity in our homes and daily lives

• To guard our eyes and hearts with holiness

• To reject pride and slander while seeking faithful companions

• To live for the good of our communities

This is not about perfection—it’s about direction. By God’s grace, we can live lives that please Him and bless others.

Whether you’re joining us from home, caring for family, or walking through struggles of your own, this message is a call to stand firm and renew your devotion to the Lord.

Stay with us as we worship together, dig into Psalm 101, and take heart in God’s mercy and faithfulness.
